Who doesn’t like chicken wings? Chicken wings are always a sure hit at my parties and get togethers. They also make a great appetizer for just about any occasion.

If you enjoy chicken wings as much as my family and I do you may want to give my Kickin Chicken wings recipe a try.

To make my ” Kickin Chicken wings ” you will need the following ingredients :

About four pounds of fresh chicken wings. ( You could use frozen chicken wings if you like, but I prefer fresh.)

I usually use about a half a stick of butter or margarine.

One table spoon of white vinegar.

And about three to six table spoons of hot sauce.( Depending on how much heat you like your wings to have.)

Now I usually chop my chicken wings in half at the joint, but that is optional.

In a large frying pan or skillet, you want to “deep Fry” the chicken wings in vegetable oil until they are a nice golden brown color or darker depending on how you like your wings.Keep in mind that the wings still have to be baked in the oven for a while.

After you have fried your wings to your personal liking, place the wings in a bowl full of paper towels or paper plates and let them drain for a few minutes.

While the wings are being drained, in a sauce pan , melt the half stick of butter or margarine over a low to medium flame. Once the butter is thoroughly melted , add the tablespoon of white vinegar, and your desired amount of hot sauce. ( I recommend about 4-5 tablespoons. Less if you like your wings to be more mild.)

After your wings have drained and your sauce is properly mingled, add your chicken wings to a large bowl and add your home made sauce.

Stir your chicken wings well making sure they are all covered in the sauce.

Spread your kickin chicken wings out on a baking sheet and bake them for about ten minutes at 375 degrees.

I usually serve these chicken wings with either blue cheese or ranch dressing and a piece of celery or a carrot.

So that’s my Kickin Chicken wings recipe. I hope your friends and family enjoy it as much as mine do.

Have a wonderful day

Kim  =)

Beer Baked Steak is a favorite in my home and the recipe has been in my family for a long time. This steak dish combines the wonderful flavors of beer, steak and spices to create a mouth watering experience that your guests will not forget any time soon.

To make Beer Baked Steak you will need:

  •  6 nice thick steaks ( about two pounds of what ever your favorite cut of beef is. I recommend sirloin.)
  • about three tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 medium onions chopped
  • About half a cup of flour
  • 1 can of beef bouillon
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  •  12 ounce bottle of beer
  • about a tablespoon of parsley flakes
  • about 2 teaspoons of thyme
  • Salt and pepper

In a mixing bowl, combine the can of bouillon,  the beer, thyme, brown sugar, parsley flakes, salt and pepper. Lightly mix with a wire whisk .Put this mixture aside for future use.

In another mixing bowl, mix the chopped onions and minced garlic and put that aside.

In a skillet with with the heat on high, add the extra virgin olive oil and heat until a sizzle can be heard.

Add the steaks to the hot skillet and lightly brown them on each side.Place them in a large shallow glass baking pan when done.

With all the steaks browned in extra virgin olive oil and single layered in the glass baking pan, spread the onion and garlic mixture over the top of the steak.

After the garlic and onion mixture is evenly spread over the steak , sprinkle the half cup of  flour over the steak ,onions, and garlic.

Finally pour the mixture of liquid ingredients over the steak making sure to get the mixture on all the meat.

Place the glass cooking sheet uncovered into an oven set at 325 degrees and bake for about three hours .

I usually serve this dish with side of  rice or a baked potatoe and fresh green beans or carrots, garnish with fresh slices of green pepper,  fresh parsley,  and cherry tomatoes when in season.

This recipe serves about six people.
